Previous is null would not allow update with =NULL to set to work, workaround used where you can set a null or default value like Guid.Empty as it's wrapped parameter to make sure this will stay =NULL in the end query result after edits. but allows to prevent = and IS NULL mistakes to happen less often due to actual knowingly use of NULL's
