NuGet Consumption

When consumed via NuGet (PackageReference), Page Builder assets are automatically copied to your web project's wwwroot/PageBuilder/ on build. Reference Xcellerator.Components in your main web application project so assets land in the correct location.

Configuration (JSON, CD_Repository, overrides): see docs/XDocumentation/Consumer-Configuration.md in this repository, or the same path inside the NuGet package after restore.

Kentico's default bundling picks up PageBuilder/Admin/** and PageBuilder/Public/**.

PageBuilderAssets

Static assets (CSS/JS) live in PageBuilderAssets/ and are:

  • Local dev: Copied to wwwroot/PageBuilder/ when Components builds
  • NuGet: Copied to the consuming project's wwwroot/PageBuilder/ via build/Xcellerator.Components.targets

Structure follows Kentico conventions:

  • Admin/ – Edit-mode styles and scripts
  • Public/ – Live-site styles and scripts
  • Config/, sites/{channel}/ – Page Builder JSON (see Consumer-Configuration.md)
  • Subfolders: Widgets/<Id>/, Sections/<Id>/, PageTemplates/<Id>/
