Microsoft.Spark.Extensions.DotNet.Interactive

.NET Interactive C# kernel integration for .NET for Apache Spark. This extension makes assemblies defined in interactive cells and their referenced dependencies available to Spark executors.

Version 2.4.0 adds Spark 4 scalar UDF support across cells, including recovery after failed submissions.

Installation

Run the following in a .NET Interactive C# cell:

Runtime Requirements

Requires .NET 8 and a compatible .NET Interactive C# kernel.

Use Microsoft.Spark 2.4.0 with the corresponding bridge JAR and Microsoft.Spark.Worker. Configure the Spark runtime and establish a Spark session before executing Spark operations.

Arrow UDFs defined in the REPL are not supported.
