AgentBundle
AgentBundle is a .NET global tool that distributes a curated bundle of reusable skills and custom agents through Agent Distribution.
The package contains the canonical Agent Distribution bundle, including host-independent agent instructions and adapters for Codex, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot.
Install
dotnet tool install --global MackySoft.AgentBundle
This installs the agent-bundle CLI and its embedded canonical bundle. It does not write Skills or custom agents into a host; use the install commands below for that.
Update AgentBundle
dotnet tool update --global MackySoft.AgentBundle
The tool update replaces the CLI and its embedded bundle. It does not change Skill or custom agent files that are already installed in a host. Update and prune those files separately for every host and scope where you installed them, using the same selectors and applicable target overrides. Reuse --target-dir for Skill update, prune, and doctor; --agent-target-dir for custom-agent update, prune, and doctor; and --skill-target-dir for custom-agent update and doctor. For example:

Migrate from SkillsPack
Migration from MackySoft.SkillsPack, the skills-pack CLI, and the com.mackysoft.skills-pack catalog is a one-time replacement. AgentBundle provides no compatibility aliases, and the new CLI does not own the old catalog or its installation state.
Before uninstalling the old global tool, use the old CLI to remove every managed Skill installation. Run the applicable command for each old host you used:
skills-pack skills uninstall --host openai --scope user --category basic,development
If an old installation used --target-dir, pass that exact target directory to its uninstall command. The old CLI must resolve the same managed installation that it originally created.
For project-scope installations, run the applicable old CLI command in every repository where SkillsPack was installed. Preserve both the original --repository-root and any original --target-dir override:

The historical openai, claude, and copilot host literals belong only to skills-pack migration commands; they are not host aliases for agent-bundle.
After the old CLI has removed its managed files, replace the global tool:

Finally, create installations owned by the new com.mackysoft.agent-bundle catalog with agent-bundle. For example:

Repeat the new installation for each required host and scope. Project-scope installations must be run for each repository with --scope project --repository-root /path/to/repository.

Use --dry-run --print-diff before an installation when you need its planned file changes. export, install, update, doctor, uninstall, and prune require --category or --skill; list does not.

AgentBundle distributes Supervisor and Orchestrator as Skills for host runtimes where the user-operated root task cannot be supplied as a custom agent. Supervisor routes independent objectives to new or existing tasks within the permissions set by the user and runtime. It confirms delivery and resolves recoverable delivery failures before ending the allocation cycle. If delivery remains impossible within its authority and available capabilities, it reports what is needed to resume. It then waits for new input.
Each destination task applies $orchestrator. The orchestrator chooses responsibilities, model roles, the scope of each assignment, and information routes together, prioritizing final quality within the user's time and cost constraints. It handles simple work directly and preserves required independent ownership. Other delegation must justify its benefit across the whole execution, including parent and child tokens, communication, repeated reading, waiting, integration, and rework. Broad exploration, important value judgments and design, and practical execution go to the actors suited to those responsibilities; only the work needed for the objective is started.
Specialists complete their assigned outcomes, including local decisions, correction, waiting, and verification within their authority. Decision makers retain direct access to original requirements and evidence. Those performing practical work receive the decisions, reasons, and constraints they must preserve. Delegation uses short requests and shared artifact references, with direct interim communication between known actors when their communication boundaries and dependencies remain clear. Reusable artifacts are checked when they can replace the current work. Corrections reopen only the affected or unresolved parts of prior results. The orchestrator receives the required results before completing the objective.
Supervisor and Orchestrator use the current task's model, reasoning level, and permissions.

The agents resource group supports list, export, install, update, doctor, uninstall, and prune. Agent selection uses exact names through --agent; installation and update start from the selected Agent → Skill dependencies and resolve their transitive Skill → Skill closure. Agent definitions declare direct Skill dependencies. Agent-to-agent relationships are runtime allocations owned by orchestration. Skill runtime dependencies form a Skill-only graph, while execution identities and bindings remain in the host and orchestration layer.

Custom agents use their host binding settings and defer unspecified values to the host runtime unless the user explicitly requests an override. For Codex, architect uses gpt-6-astra with xhigh reasoning effort, challenger and reviewer use gpt-5.6-terra with high, and verifier uses gpt-5.6-luna with max.
Model and reasoning changes compare the current and proposed settings on representative work with the same acceptance criteria. The comparison includes output quality, token rates, total cost or credit use, and time to completion, including retries, corrections, and coordination. A higher-cost default needs evidence that the quality gain or reduced rework justifies the additional cost; the role name alone is not enough. Explicit user settings take precedence.
Agent bindings materialize as host-specific files while AGENT.md remains host-independent. The package intentionally does not install or maintain host-shared configuration files.

Development
The source of truth is the schema 4 source under bundle: categorized Skill definitions live in bundle/skills, and custom-agent definitions live in bundle/agents. bash scripts/generate-bundle.sh builds the canonical runtime bundle at the ignored artifacts/agent-distribution path. Generated manifests, digests, and host artifacts are build outputs and are not committed.
