Tagua.Excel

Excel output for Tagua reports: the same template and data that make the PDF make a workbook (.xlsx), built from the report's data rather than its pages.

• Rows from bands: each band occurrence becomes one or more rows, in order; its values go into columns that follow the report's layout, and a value that spans several columns in the report spans them in the sheet.
• Real numbers and dates: a text that is one expression, such as {Amount:C} or {Issued:d}, becomes a number or a date with the matching Excel format (currency, grouping, decimals, percent, dates) in the report's culture, so it can be summed and sorted. Text that mixes words and values stays text.
• Collapsible groups: group headers, details and footers get outline levels, so each group folds into its total.
• A frozen header: the page header's first occurrence sits at the top and stays in view; page footers are left out.
• Tables keep their columns, header and footer rows, and their own border and background (on the edge cells); subreports are laid out in place; right-to-left rows and tables start at the right.
• Styles: fonts, bold, italic, colours, fills, borders and alignment come from the template.
• Images, barcodes and charts: images become pictures in their cells, sized as in the PDF, and barcodes become sharp pictures of their symbols that scanners read. Charts become native Excel charts, whose categories and values go on a second sheet, "Chart data", so they stay editable.
• Sparklines (charts under 60pt tall) become Excel's own sparklines in their cells where those draw the same thing (one series, as a line or columns), and small charts without axes otherwise.

It writes the workbook itself, with no other dependency, runs under native AOT, and gives the same bytes for the same input. The license is Tagua's: see the Tagua package.
