Plugin.Maui.Spine.Authentication

Sign-in for a Spine app against its own server, which runs Plugin.Maui.Spine.Server.Authentication:

  • Sign in with Apple's own sheet on iOS and Mac Catalyst, and email and password in a ready-made sheet.
  • Any OpenID Connect provider the server brokers, in the system browser (Apple on Android and Windows too).
  • [RequiresSignIn] on a page or a command.
  • The refresh token in secure storage, and an HttpClient handler that adds the access token and refreshes it.
  • Without a Spine server, directly at an OpenID Connect provider (Auth0, Entra ID, Keycloak) with PKCE.
dotnet add package Plugin.Maui.Spine.Authentication
builder.UseSpine(o => o.AddAuthentication(a =>
{
    a.Server = new Uri("https://api.example.com/auth");
    a.CallbackScheme = "se.example.app";
    a.AddApple();
    a.AddEmailPassword();
}));

builder.Services.AddHttpClient<OrdersApi>(c => c.BaseAddress = new("https://api.example.com"))
                .AddSpineAuthentication();
[NavigableRegion(Title = "Orders"), RequiresSignIn]
public partial class OrdersPage { … }

Sign in with Google comes from Plugin.Maui.Spine.Authentication.Google.

Plugin.Maui.Spine.Authentication.Microsoft

Sign in with Microsoft (personal accounts and Entra ID) for a Spine app, through MSAL with the broker: Microsoft Authenticator or Company Portal on iOS and Android, WAM on Windows. Its ID token goes to the Spine server (a.AddMicrosoft), or its access token goes straight to an Entra-protected API (a.UseMicrosoft).

Plugin.Maui.Spine.Authentication.Google

Sign in with Google for a Spine app: Credential Manager's own sheet on Android, and the server's broker in the browser on iOS, Mac Catalyst and Windows. Adds a.AddGoogle() to Plugin.Maui.Spine.Authentication.

Plugin.Maui.Spine.Authentication.Passkeys

Passkeys for Spine sign-in: sign in, sign up and add a passkey to an account through the platform's own passkey sheet, and passkeys offered by AutoFill in the email field. iOS and Mac Catalyst 16 or later; the Spine server checks them (Passkeys(...) in Plugin.Maui.Spine.Server.Authentication).
