IMPORTANT: READ THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE USING, COPYING,
INSTALLING, DISTRIBUTING, OR OTHERWISE ACCESSING THE SOFTWARE.

This License Agreement ("Agreement") governs the use of the PdfEngine SDK,
including its NuGet packages, binaries, documentation, examples, and related
materials (collectively, the "Software").

By installing, downloading, accessing, or using the Software, you agree to be
bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or
use the Software.

1. License grant

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and any applicable commercial
order, subscription, or license key terms provided by PdfEngine, PdfEngine
grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable,
revocable license to:

- install and use the Software for your internal development, testing, and
  production workloads;
- integrate the Software into your applications and services;
- redistribute the unmodified runtime components of the Software only as
  embedded parts of your compiled applications, and only to the extent required
  for the normal use of those applications by your end users.

2. License key and plan limitations

Use of some features may require a valid license key, subscription, activation,
or plan entitlement. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the
Software stays within the limits of your purchased or assigned plan, including
any feature scope, environment scope, document volume, or usage quotas
associated with that plan.

3. Restrictions

Except where expressly permitted by applicable law, you may not:

- sublicense, sell, rent, lease, timeshare, or otherwise commercially exploit
  the Software on a standalone basis;
- distribute the Software as a developer toolkit, reusable component library,
  SDK, or NuGet package to third parties;
- remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, translate, or otherwise attempt to
  derive the source code, algorithms, or non-public internals of the Software;
- bypass, disable, or interfere with licensing, activation, usage metering, or
  technical protection mechanisms;
- use the Software in a manner that violates applicable law, regulation, or the
  rights of a third party.

4. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. PdfEngine and its licensors retain all
right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual
property rights.

5. Documentation and examples

Code samples, examples, snippets, and documentation are provided for guidance
only. You remain solely responsible for validating the suitability, security,
compliance, and correctness of your implementation in your own environment.

6. Support and updates

Support, maintenance, updates, upgrades, and service levels are provided only
if included in a separate commercial agreement, support plan, or subscription.
Nothing in this Agreement obligates PdfEngine to provide support or future
updates.

7. Third-party components

The Software may include or depend on third-party components that are subject
to their own license terms. Those third-party terms remain applicable to the
relevant components.

8. Disclaimer of warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY
KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT
LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE,
SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PDFENGINE
OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY,
PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA,
GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE
OR THIS AGREEMENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE
LIABILITY OF PDFENGINE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SOFTWARE OR THIS
AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO PDFENGINE FOR THE
SOFTWARE DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE
CLAIM.

10. Termination

This Agreement remains effective until terminated. PdfEngine may terminate this
Agreement immediately if you breach its terms. Upon termination, you must stop
using the Software and destroy or remove all copies under your control, except
to the extent retention is required by law.

11. Governing terms

If you have entered into a separate written agreement with PdfEngine governing
use of the Software, that agreement will prevail in the event of a conflict
with this License Agreement.
