CatConsult.EfCore.IamAuth

This extension library enables IAM Authentication for DbContext connections. It registers custom DbConnection interceptor to automatically inject short‑lived IAM authentication token into database connection string at runtime.

Usage

Notes

IAM token expires after 15 minutes. By default, this library refreshes it automatically at 14 minutes.
Ensure your application has appropriate IAM permissions to generate RDS IAM Auth tokens.
Ensure your DB user login has rds_iam db role
SSL is required when using RDS IAM authentication. The RDS root certificate must be trusted on the server.
