ACME Skin System II + CISS Navigation Suite for Oqtane

Build polished Oqtane sites from one integrated package. Version 2.2.43 combines the responsive ACME theme, CISS Menu Builder, Auto Demo Site, AI-assisted content tools, reusable content blocks and a complete design library for Oqtane 10.0.0+ / .NET 10.

Use the included templates as a production-ready starting point, then adapt the navigation, page structure, colors and content to the active site design. Menu and appearance settings support both site-wide presets and theme-aware presets.

What's New in 2.2.43

  • Oqtane 10.0.0+ compatibility, with the CISS module, ACME theme and optional EAV helper compiled against the Oqtane 10.0.0 baseline.

  • A drawer showcase on the public product site, with four live Oqtane navigation demos.

  • Clean menu descriptions extracted from SEO metadata, and fallback icons for Oqtane font-icon classes.

  • Native 2sxc/EAV query optimization and a bounded targeted warmup, with direct editing retained.

  • Folio Editorial megamenu and compact dropdown, a single native header row, and no duplicate content toolbar.

  • FolioSide CISS navigation shares the full page layout with native 2sxc content; mobile collapse/reopen is supported.

  • Three Folio page layouts in the sample library and clearer Page Layouts / Industry Designs navigation labels.

  • Correct subsite aliases and Home links in CISS navigation.

  • Faster page loading through direct server services and site-scoped settings caching, with immediate refresh after saving configuration.

  • Separate cacheable appearance CSS and fonts loaded for the selected design.

  • Restored reveal and stagger effects, layered parallax, scroll zoom, hero slideshows, Interior project galleries and Hotel room galleries.

  • Working navigation, dots and pause controls for nine MegaForm slider variants, including the original Scrapbook moments.

  • Effects rebind after internal navigation, keep the hero readable and respect reduced-motion preferences.

  • Server timing steps and trace IDs help diagnose slow page requests.

Try Classic Drawer, Animated Drawer, Animated Drawer II, and Newspaper Drawer. These public demos use native CISS modules. On your own site, add a CISS module and select the corresponding Drawer style in Navigation Settings.

Included in the Current Package

  • 107 sample page layouts bundled for the Oqtane demo site.
  • 50 structured content blocks implemented by 120 Oqtane Razor views.
  • 30 CSS palettes with Site Preset and Theme Preset modes.
  • seven submenu patterns: Corporate Columns, News Magazine, Service Detail Tabs, Commerce Sidebar, Template Gallery, Design Index and Folio Editorial.
  • A shared menu blueprint carrying the same top-level order, descriptions, icons, thumbnails, tabs and rails on Oqtane and DNN.
  • Responsive desktop and mobile navigation, breadcrumb support and server-side appearance hydration for a stable first render.

Complete Site Quick Start

Use an Oqtane Host account for the setup steps below. Back up the database and site files first when the target already contains production pages.

1. Install and enable the package

  1. Open Administration > System > Module Management.
  2. Upload CISS.SideMenu.Oqtane.Prod.2.2.43.nupkg and complete the installation prompts.
  3. Restart Oqtane when requested, sign back in as Host, and confirm that CISS Navigation Suite is enabled.
  4. If you intend to use the structured 2sxc blocks, install a compatible 2sxc release separately before creating those pages.

2. Apply the ACME site design

  1. Open the site's theme settings and select the included ACME Skin System II theme for the site or the pages being built.
  2. Add CISS Navigation Suite to a page when a page-level navigation module is needed, then open its settings and choose the desired menu style.
  3. Reload the page once after installation so the Builder assets and the site-scoped menu configuration are available.

3. Create one or more sample pages

  1. Open Menu Builder from the ACME menu-bar settings button.
  2. Select Create sample pages.
  3. Choose individual templates, a branch, or Select all. Parent Oqtane routes are created automatically when a selected template needs them.
  4. Select Create selected pages and keep the browser open until the build summary finishes.
  5. Open the generated routes and replace the sample copy, images, links and SEO fields with production content.

This workflow is the safer choice on an existing site because only the checked template routes are created or updated.

4. Build the complete demo site

For a new evaluation site, open Menu Builder and select Auto demo site. After confirmation, the tool creates or updates the full sample-page library and replaces the current navigation with the curated Designs + Templates mega menu. Existing demo routes are rebuilt in place, so use a clone or a verified backup instead of running this action casually on a populated production site.

5. Change and publish the menu

  1. Reopen Menu Builder after the sample build completes.
  2. Drag top-level items and child items to change their order and hierarchy.
  3. Use Available Pages to add real Oqtane pages to the navigation.
  4. Select an item to edit its label, page/link target, description, icon, thumbnail, tabs, side rail and supported submenu pattern.
  5. Open Site Design to choose the Menu Bar style, Site Preset or Theme Preset behavior, palette and breadcrumb visibility.
  6. Select Save Changes. A local draft is not the published site menu until this save succeeds.
  7. Test the menu signed out at desktop and mobile widths. Confirm that every destination opens, the drawer works, the breadcrumb setting is respected, and the page has no horizontal overflow.

If the Builder button is missing, confirm that you are signed in as Host, the module is enabled, the ACME theme is active, and then perform a hard reload.

Menu Builder provides drag-and-drop organization, editable labels, links, descriptions, icons and thumbnails, configurable tabs and side rails, all six submenu patterns, CSS palette selection and Site Preset or Theme Preset modes. Oqtane routes are resolved to real PageId targets.

Auto Demo Site creates the complete sample page inventory and applies the shared menu blueprint in one workflow. Sample pages are distributed across the seven submenu patterns, and every generated menu destination points to an included page template.

Without Marketplace activation, the trial can create the full sample page library and use Auto Demo Site. Pages contain editable sample content through the same Oqtane content engine used by production.

AI Content and AI Menu Assistant

AI Content inventories the current page and prepares review-first updates for multiple visible modules. It supports structured fields, visible content, approved image and video fields, SEO data and approved component additions. Nothing is persisted until the user reviews and applies the proposal.

AI Menu Assistant audits and reorganizes real Oqtane pages, labels, links and menu groups. Its proposals preserve the menu schema, use real page targets and are applied to the Menu Builder draft before saving.

Supported providers include OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Kimi, OpenRouter, Azure OpenAI, local Ollama/LM Studio and custom OpenAI-compatible endpoints. Provider credentials are configured by the site administrator and are not included in the package.

Installation

Install CISS.SideMenu.Oqtane.Prod.2.2.43.nupkg through Oqtane Module Management on an Oqtane 10.0.0+ / .NET 10 site. The package includes the CISS module, ACME theme, ACMEBlocks app archive, shared assets and required Oqtane licensing runtime. The 2sxc engine is a separate prerequisite for 2sxc content blocks.

Back up the database and site files before upgrading an existing installation. When replacing separately installed CISS and ACME packages, test the upgrade on a clone first and do not uninstall a theme while it is assigned to a site.

License

Purchase a CISS.SideMenu.Oqtane.Module license for USD 25 from the CISS Navigation Suite Marketplace product. After purchase, sign in as an Oqtane Host and use the product activation action to retrieve the Marketplace license for the current Oqtane installation. The one-time purchase covers perpetual use on one Oqtane database and one year of new theme and menu updates.

The public NuGet package ID is CISS.SideMenu.Oqtane. The Marketplace license product remains CISS.SideMenu.Oqtane.Module because the active Marketplace Module record has its own immutable product identity.

Installing the NuGet package does not itself install or activate a Marketplace license. Trial mode keeps all features available and displays a persistent bottom badge with a Marketplace purchase link on public pages. The badge disappears after activation. The Host can check and activate licensing in the CISS Navigation Suite module.

This version uses the commercial terms in LICENSE.txt; it is not published under MIT. The included Oqtane licensing runtime has separate terms in licenses/Oqtane.Licensing.txt.

2.2.43 restores Oqtane 10.0.0+ compatibility by compiling the CISS module, ACME theme and optional EAV helper against the Oqtane 10.0.0 baseline. Retains native 2sxc/EAV query optimization, targeted warmup, direct content editing, Folio Editorial and FolioSide integration, 107 page layouts and four live drawer demos. The public NuGet package ID CISS.SideMenu.Oqtane uses the CISS.SideMenu.Oqtane.Module Marketplace license product; trial behavior is unchanged.
