YouTubeTagFinder

Finds most used tags related to a keyword or search phrase.

Install-Package YouTubeTagFinder

Find tags related to kittens and trim it down to 500 characters (YouTubes limit for tags):

using YouTubeTagFinder;

var options = new Options() {
    CharacterLimit = 500,
    RemoveSearchQueryParameters = true, // ignore | and - in the query string
    VideoSearchOrder = SearchResource.ListRequest.OrderEnum.Relevance, // Find similar videos based on relevance and take the keywords from them
    VideoSearchVolume = 7 // A total of 7 videos will get inspected
};

IList<string> tags = await TagFinder.FindRelatedTags("kittens", youtubeCredential, options);

The unique thing about the character limit is that it fully integrates all rules set by YouTube. More detailed information on how YouTube performs character counting on tags you can find here.

This library needs an authorized UserCredential object from the YouTube Data Api.
