Xamarin.Common.Mvvm

Xamarin.Forms package with useful classes and services for working with MVVM. Now, in version 1.0.0, it contains three major features: base classes, behaviors and services.

Base Classes

For now, it only has a base class that is BindableBase, which is pretty self explanatory. It provides base methods for working with PropertyChanged, like RaisePropertyChanged and SetProperty.

Behaviors

In the moment, it only has a behavior, based on Prism EventToCommandBehavior. It consist of a generic behavior which we can use with any XAML element and convert an event to a command.

Services

We have four services implemented:

  • EncryptionService: a pretty useful service for encrypting string. It generates a 256 encrypted value.
  • NavigationService: self-explanatory, not complete, but working for basic/mid projects.
  • PageDialogService: service for working with action sheets and alerts.
  • PropertiesService: service for working with the application properties.
